News for nobody, stuff that doesn't matter.
I'm a cranky, geeky girl with curly purple streaked hair. I play way too much on a MUD (you totally want to play SneezyMUD), collect board games and card games and whatnot, watch Battlestar Galactica and Scrubs and love Indian food. And sushi. Oh yeah, I also totally dig Jon Stewart and would vote for him for president if he ever ran.
More than anything else, I love to laugh. I spend a lot of time observing odd things. I can be very literal.
There as a time when I spent the majority of my day handbuilding stoneware pottery. Then there was a time I spent the majority of my time repairing Apple computers and doing in person tech Q&A. Then there was this one time, at band camp... Oh wait, I didn’t go to band camp. No, I went on choir tour. Yeah. To Minnesota. I swear. I wouldn’t make that kind of thing up.
I blog, like eleventy million percent of the population. I used to keep betta fish, but now I give a home, a heart and a lot of time to two gold cap conures, Micah and Niko. They rule my life with little iron talons. I'm a licensed bartender but don't work at a bar. I make a hella awesome vanilla berry lemon drop (especially when my 'house' vodka is Stoli, I don't use any frickin’ sweet and sour and I muddle real lemons), and you’d like my martinis too. I specialize in making stuff up. I pluck a little booze from here, a little fruit from there, and voila - drunk.
My favorite video game is Soul Calibur, I drink a jillion gallons of water a day, I don't like dijon mustard. I'm a somewhat standard geek, you know, I like Monty Python, H*R, Tux and Legend of Zelda. I’m an enthusiastic fan of Red Dwarf. Yesterday I had the theme song from Metroid Prime stuck in my head and hummed it all day long. The Wii is incredibly awesome and I suck really bad at Sports but love it anyway. Except for golf. I don’t like golf.
I like to sing. I love reading anything written by Roger Zelazny. When I work in an office, I bring toys to work, the more bizarre and disgusting the better.
I have fibromyalgia, which has limited my physical life a lot. I keep mentally busy, but sometimes I fantasize about a good long session on the elliptical machine. Is that weird? If so, oh well.
